On 13th January 2003, the foundation stone was laid for a new accommodation facility on the outskirts of Areora village on Atiu. The complex comprises 6 wooden bungalows (below center) containing a double and a single bed and bathroom each. Rental scooters are available to make on site. An entertainment hall and restaurant and a small shop are in the planning stage. Though the project is not quite finished,
